I heard earlier this year that the greatest TV show ever, The Mighty Boosh, was coming out with a movie! Well, it turns out that is partially true. By the way, if you haven't heard of the Might Boosh, Google that shit. It's completed its third season on the BBC over in Britain, and was syndicated to Adult Swim over here in the States earlier this year (I don't know if it's still on or not, but it used to be on Saturday nights at midnight). All three seasons were released on DVD over here in the States back in July.
Anyways, this movie, Bunny and the Bull, isn't really a proper Mighty Boosh movie, but it was directed by Paul King (Boosh's director) and written by Mark Everson (one of the Boosh writers). It also features cameo appearances by Mighty Boosh characters including Noel Fielding and Julian Barrett: here's a sneak clip, with Julian Barrett as the dog breeder:
The movie was filmed on a budget of 1 million British Pounds, and is apparently about two guys who sit in their apartment and goes on an imaginary journey around Europe. This film did well at the Toronto, London, and Rome film festivals, and is scheduled for release in the UK on November 27 this year. It remains to be seen if and when it will come across the pond.
