NFL Week 10 Power Rankings

I don't have much conviction about this set, if you have a problem, I probably won't argue. Some teams are just hard for me to figure out after this week, which is weird since we are so deep into the season.

1. Indianapolis Colts--It wasn't pretty but they remain number one. Their defense came up big in stopping the Pats on 4th down. They beat a very good team. Manning is a machine.

2. New Orleans Saints--They struggled more than they should have against the Rams.

3. Minnesota Vikings--They had a dominant win over the Lions, even if that doesn't say much.

A fly just flew into my desk lamp and died.

4. Cincinnati Bengals--I still have my doubts about this team, even though all they've done is swept two of what I thought were the best teams in the league. I don't know what they have left to prove to me...

5. New England Patriots--They have three losses, but I keep them at number 5, because they dominated the majority of that game on the road against a great team. They are still a very good team, especially when they don't make boneheaded play calls.

6. Pittsburgh Steelers--Everyone talked about how the Bengals dominated that game, but it was actually very even. The Steelers are still a great team.

7. San Diego Chargers--They make a huge jump this week. They've been on a roll lately, and now find themselves tied for the division lead.

8. Arizona Cardinals--Another team that made a big jump this week. Not because they beat a good team, but because they've been hot lately. When Warner is on, these guys usually win.

9. Denver Broncos--Is it time to start worrying? That wasn't a game they should have lost, and they now find themselves tied for the division lead. The defense doesn't look as good as it once did.

10. Dallas Cowboys--I honestly didn't see the game, but what I do know is that they faced a desperate team on the road. Losses like that will happen. They are still pretty good.

11. Baltimore Ravens--No style points there. They are going to sink or swim with Joe Flacco's right arm. Everything else is in place for a great team, but Flacco is still young.

12. Miami Dolphins--Many may argue that this is too high for a 4-5 team, but look at who they've lost to: at New England, New Orleans, Indianapolis, at Atlanta, and at San Diego. And they were close in most, if not all of those games.

13. Philadelphia Eagles--That was a tough game for them. They have a ton of talent though...

14. Houston Texans--Great bye this week.

15. Green Bay Packers--I still can't forgive them for losing to Tampa Bay. Their offense can roll if they get help from that O-line. The defense is inconsistent.

16. Atlanta Falcons--They've been floundering. They are very talented, but as long as Matt Ryan is struggling, it is going to be hard for them to win those tough games.

17. New York Giants--No one needed a bye more than these guys. I wonder if they sorted anything out...

18. Carolina Panthers--As long as they can run the football, they are going to compete, and usually win. That's exactly what the Panthers of last year (14-2) did. Just don't ask too much of Jake Delhomme. It's time to find his replacement.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars--This team confuses me, but that was a good win on the road.

20. San Francisco 49ers--How do you intercept Jay Cutler 5 times and only have 10 points to show for it? That was an ugly win.

21. New York Jets--They are going downhill fast, now at 4-5.

22. Tennessee Titans--These guys have been on fire since their bye. Chris Johnson is unstoppable, and the defense has really upped its game, finally forcing turnovers. Vince Young doesn't have to even do much.

23. Washington Redskins--They desperately needed that win. I still don't trust them.

24. Chicago Bears--U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi. This team seems like it will never get all the pieces together.

25. Seattle Seahawks--This team is constantly cursed by injuries that keep them from ever reaching their full potential.

26. St. Louis Rams--They've had a lot of fight in them the last few weeks, which is very promising. Steven Jackson is having a great year, and Marc Bulger is looking pretty sharp.

27. Kansas City Chiefs--They are better off without LJ. Fix that offensive line, and these guys would jump much higher.

28. Buffalo Bills--This looks like a team that has given up. That sucks for Dick Jauron.

29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers--They fought, but fell short.

30. Oakland Raiders--You know how I feel about these guys.

31. Detroit Lions--Things are looking right back down. Matt Stafford is going through lots of growing pains, and it pains the whole team.

32. Cleveland Browns. 5 offensive touchdowns in the last 15 games. Horrible.
