School is for Losers.
I don't wanna go back to college in a week. I mean, I'm kinda excited to see how the new year in the new city is going to go, but seriously...it can wait. I like where I'm at this summer.

FIRST FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT!!!!
Football season is the best time of year. Here's the results of the draft in my first free Yahoo! league:
QB: Matt Shaub (HOU), Jay Cutler (CHI)
RB: Steve Slaton (HOU), Pierre Thomas (NO), Kevin Smith (DET), Derrick Ward (TB), Chris "Beanie" Wells (ARI)
WR: Larry Fitzgerald (ARI), Braylon Edwards (CLE), Kevin Walter (HOU), Miles Austin (DAL), Mark Clayton (BAL)
TE: Brent Celek (PHI)
K: Nate Kaeding (SD)
DEF: Dallas Cowboys
Obviously it's not perfect, but I'm pretty pleased. I may need some tweaking at WR...we'll see how Miles Austin pans out...

Something's Amiss
I'm not sure what it is, but something has had me sailing off an even keel for the past week or two. I feel like I am having a lot of trouble focusing and making any kind of decisions. And I'm pretty sure it's messing with my sleep schedule and my appetite. Both are really sporadic. That's actually a pretty good word for it. Everything feels sporadic.
You know what I mean?

Aim and Ignite

fun.'s debut album Aim and Ignite got its first review in! Ladies and gents, all systems are go. Preorder it like I did today! Or pick it up in stores August 25. That works too.
Anyone want to go see them with me in Minneapolis on September 25? They're headlining this time!

Children Beware
So I'm back from my excursions into the great unknown: the Minnesota Wilderness of No Technology or Communication (thank God I could at least update my Facebook status via Twitter via a small pocket of cell phone connection. LOL!) All minor sarcasm aside, it wasn't a bad trip. The ride got a bit long, but it wasn't bad. Do you guys remember the song "Believe" by Cher? Remember how it hasn't been on the radio in like 6 years? I heard it 4 times on 4 different stations on that drive. Nuts! Also nuts--a child care service hidden deep in the coniferous forest, and a billboard that read: "Having Sexual Thoughts About Children? Call Now (phone number here)."
Anyways, I played a lot of volleyball (Scheckel family domination per usual) and got some good water skiing action in. On our way back through the Twin Cities we stopped at my favorite pizza place ever: Punch Neapolitan.
Sunday I went golfing for the third time this summer. Shaved 10 strokes off my last outing, so that was good. I also water skiied again on Red Rock on Sunday. I actually wiped out for the first time this year on that outing. I did a sweet front flip/face plant. It was gnarly.
Does anyone know a good chiropractor?
Flame and Citron hits a select few theaters this Friday. I would really like to see it. It won awards. I don't know where it's playing at though...

Stone Cold
I spent the night watching the entire fifth season of Entourage. So good.
Something else that's so good? The band Barcelona. And the song "Time to Pretend" by MGMT.

Over and out.

Where's Joakim?
It's been a few days since I last updated. What have I been doing you ask? Oh, only EVERYTHING THAT'S EVER BEEN AWESOME AND FUN AND EXCITING. I've been mowin' lawns like Murphy Lee
...Collect so much grass po-po thinkin' we mow lawns...
Except kinda the opposite. I actually do mow lawns and don't collect grass. WEEeeeeeeeeeed.
Yeah. Mowin' lawns, working at the Row, rollerblading, and doing ALL KINDS OF CRAZY/INSANE STUFF!
For example, last night (Friday night) I stayed up until TWELVE THIRTY!! I know. It was getting a little out of control. I was going off the wallz playing cards with hot girls my dad and my sister.
I don't actually have much new media to share today. I really haven't been perusing the internet as much the last few days. Bruno came out yesterday though! I really want to see it, even though I know it is going to be exactly as stupid as Borat.
I really didn't like Borat at all the first time I saw it, but it got funnier in subsequent viewings. I don't actually remember most of it now. I just remember the way he talks to the gypsies at the yard sale is funny as hell. As far as I can tell, the premise of Bruno isn't quite as good as Borat's, but I believe in Sasha Baron Cohen and his ability to make me laugh those cheap, shameful laughs.
Speaking of cheap laughs, here is Reh Dogg with "Why Must I Cry?" Laugh away you assholes. Laugh like I did at his sincere attempts to make heartfelt music.
Did you see Joakim Noah??
That's all for this post guys and gals!
BRYAN
